Please Support the Center for Taxpayer Rights!
This is just a quick note to ask that you support the work of the Center for Taxpayer Rights by making a contribution before the end of the year. Your support, no matter the amount of your gift, makes a difference to our ability to continue in our work to improve tax administration, both in the US and internationally, from the perspective of protection of taxpayer rights and building responsive, inclusive, and trusted tax administration systems.
You can read about all the activities of the Center in 2023 here and here at the Procedurally Taxing website on Tax Analysts (outside paywall). And we just published another video in our Tax Chat! series on Transforming Tax Administration. This new Tax Chat! video is on Challenges for US International and Immigrant Taxpayers, including a discussion of IRS ITIN policies and procedures. Our guests were Pablo Blank, CASA of Maryland; Mandi Matlock, Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid Society LITC; Marylouise Serrato, American Citizens Abroad; and Jackie Vimo, National Immigration Law Center. You can watch the video here.
We have a lot planned for 2024 – including the 9th International Conference on Taxpayer Rights, Toward a Digital Taxpayer Bill of Rights, from June 4-6, 2024, at the University of Antwerp, as well as a new Tax Chat! series on the racial impact of tax administration practices. And we are about to launch our nationwide survey of low income US taxpayers with children, to learn about the barriers they face in interacting with the Internal Revenue Service.
We’re eager to share more about all these activities with you in the coming months, but in the meantime, we ask that you support our work by clicking here to donate.
Thank you, as always,
Nina E. Olson
